Project Overview
Development of a new paramedic training college and headquarters facility incorporating specialist teaching environments, simulation spaces, workplace accommodation and staff facilities to support St John WA’s future operational and training requirements. The facility has been designed to accommodate more than 300 students and 250 staff within a modern, flexible and future-ready environment.

Superintendency & Contract Administration
Shape Management provided Superintendent and contract administration services through the construction phase, including:

  • Administration of the construction contract following transition from ECI to a Lump Sum arrangement.

  • Independent assessment and certification of progress claims, variations and extensions of time.

  • Management of contractual correspondence, directions and notices.

  • Monitoring of contractor performance, programme and key contractual milestones.

  • Oversight of practical completion requirements, defects, statutory approvals and project close-out.

Outcome
The project is progressing toward completion in October 2026, delivering a significant new education and operational facility for St John WA. Shape Management’s Superintendent role has provided structured and independent contract administration throughout delivery, supporting the transition from ECI to Lump Sum and the management of a complex, multidisciplinary construction programme valued at approximately $33 million.
